1) Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) carried out flight acceptance hot test of indigenous CE20 cryogenic engine at uprated thrust level of 220 kN on 09 Sep 2026. The test was conducted at the ISRO Propulsion Complex at Mahendragiri, Tamil Nadu and the engine is coupled with the upgraded C32 upper stage of an upcoming LVM3 mission.
भारतीय अंतराळ संशोधन संस्थेने (इस्रो) 9 सप्टेंबर 2026 रोजी स्वदेशी CE20 क्रायोजेनिक इंजिनची 220 kN इतक्या वाढीव थ्रस्ट (प्रणोदन) पातळीवर ‘फ्लाईट ॲक्सेप्टन्स हॉट टेस्ट’ यशस्वीरित्या पार पाडली. ही चाचणी तामिळनाडूतील महेंद्रगिरी येथील ‘इस्रो प्रोपल्शन कॉम्प्लेक्स’मध्ये घेण्यात आली आणि हे इंजिन आगामी LVM3 मोहिमेसाठीच्या सुधारित C32 अप्पर स्टेजशी जोडलेले आहे.
2) In 2026, on 9 September, the Indian Navy’s Delhi-class guided missile destroyer INS Mysore arrived at Lumut Naval Base, Malaysia for Exercise Samudra Laksamana 4/26. The bilateral naval exercise is with the Royal Malaysian Navy and is part of India-Malaysia maritime engagement in the Indian Ocean region.
9 सप्टेंबर 2026 रोजी, ‘समुद्र लक्ष्मण 4/26’ (Samudra Laksamana 4/26) या सरावासाठी भारतीय नौदलाची ‘दिल्ली’ वर्गातील मार्गदर्शित क्षेपणास्त्रे असलेली विनाशिका (guided missile destroyer) ‘आयएनएस म्हैसूर’ (INS Mysore) मलेशियातील लुमुत नौदल तळावर दाखल झाली. हा द्विपक्षीय नौदल सराव ‘रॉयल मलेशियन नेव्ही’सोबत (मलेशियाचे शाही नौदल) केला जात असून, तो हिंदी महासागर क्षेत्रातील भारत आणि मलेशिया यांच्यातील सागरी सहकार्याचा एक भाग आहे.
3) Two prominent international assessments, Federation of American Scientists and the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute have estimated India’s nuclear stockpile to be at 190 warheads in 2026. Both assessments put India’s stockpile at the same number, with SIPRI estimating 190 warheads as of January 2026 and FAS giving a similar number in its 2026 study.
‘फेडरेशन ऑफ अमेरिकन सायंटिस्ट्स’ (FAS) आणि ‘स्टॉकहोम इंटरनॅशनल पीस रिसर्च इन्स्टिट्यूट’ (SIPRI) या दोन प्रमुख आंतरराष्ट्रीय संस्थांच्या अंदाजानुसार, 2026 मध्ये भारताकडे 190 अण्वस्त्रे (वॉरहेड्स) असतील. दोन्ही संस्थांनी भारताच्या अण्वस्त्रांच्या साठ्याबाबत समान आकडा दर्शविला आहे; यात SIPRI ने जानेवारी 2026 पर्यंत 190 अण्वस्त्रे असतील असा अंदाज वर्तवला आहे, तर FAS नेही त्यांच्या 2026 च्या अभ्यासात असाच आकडा नमूद केला आहे.
4) The Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE), Government of India, organized the virtual inaugural session of Skill Manthan on 9 September 2026. The series of national webinars was on “Building Sustainable Livelihoods for Women” and the theme of the series was district-led skilling, entrepreneurship, finance, technology and market access.
भारत सरकारच्या कौशल्य विकास आणि उद्योजकता मंत्रालयाने (MSDE) 9 सप्टेंबर 2026 रोजी ‘स्किल मंथन’च्या आभासी (व्हर्च्युअल) उद्घाटन सत्राचे आयोजन केले. राष्ट्रीय वेबिनारची ही मालिका “महिलांसाठी शाश्वत उपजीविका निर्माण करणे” या विषयावर आधारित होती आणि या मालिकेचा मुख्य विषय जिल्हा-स्तरावरील कौशल्य विकास, उद्योजकता, वित्त, तंत्रज्ञान व बाजारपेठेतील उपलब्धता हा होता.
5) India and Sri Lanka signed three defense MoUs on 9 September 2026 in Colombo during a meeting between the Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and President Anura Kumara Dissanayake. The agreements related to the upgradation of six 40mm L70 air defense guns and cooperation between the National Cadet Corps of the two countries and academic exchange between the National Defense Colleges of India and Sri Lanka.
9 सप्टेंबर 2026 रोजी कोलंबो येथे संरक्षण मंत्री राजनाथ सिंह आणि राष्ट्राध्यक्ष अनुरा कुमारा दिसानायके यांच्यातील बैठकीदरम्यान भारत आणि श्रीलंका यांच्यात संरक्षण क्षेत्रातील तीन सामंजस्य करारांवर (MoUs) स्वाक्षऱ्या करण्यात आल्या. हे करार सहा ’40 मिमी L70′ हवाई संरक्षण तोफांचे आधुनिकीकरण, दोन्ही देशांच्या ‘नॅशनल कॅडेट कोर्प्स’ (NCC) मधील सहकार्य आणि भारत व श्रीलंकेच्या ‘नॅशनल डिफेन्स कॉलेजेस’मधील शैक्षणिक देवाणघेवाण यांशी संबंधित होते.
6) Sep 2026: The United States Navy selects the VAMPIRE for coastal and littoral defense against unmanned systems. The Vehicle-Agnostic Modular Palletized ISR Rocket Equipment, or VAMPIRE, was developed by L3Harris Technologies, a defense company based in Melbourne, Florida.
8 सप्टेंबर 2026: अमेरिकेच्या नौदलाने मानवरहित प्रणालींविरुद्ध किनारी आणि किनारपट्टीच्या संरक्षणासाठी व्हॅम्पायरची निवड केली. व्हेईकल-अग्नॉस्टिक मॉड्युलर पॅलेटाइज्ड आयएसआर रॉकेट इक्विपमेंट, किंवा व्हॅम्पायर, हे फ्लोरिडातील मेलबर्न येथे स्थित संरक्षण कंपनी एल३हॅरिस टेक्नॉलॉजीजने विकसित केले आहे.
7) PhonePe and Visa announced three payment services at the Global Fintech Fest 2026 in Mumbai on 9 September 2026. The services include Tap to Pay, Cross Border Scan to Pay and Smart Accept. PhonePe has become the first Indian app to support the complete suite of three core Visa capabilities for consumers.
9 सप्टेंबर 2026 रोजी मुंबईत आयोजित ‘ग्लोबल फिनटेक फेस्ट 2026’ मध्ये PhonePe आणि Visa यांनी तीन पेमेंट सेवांची घोषणा केली. या सेवांमध्ये ‘टॅप टू पे’ (Tap to Pay), ‘क्रॉस-बॉर्डर स्कॅन टू पे’ (Cross Border Scan to Pay) आणि ‘स्मार्ट ॲक्सेप्ट’ (Smart Accept) यांचा समावेश आहे. ग्राहकांसाठी Visa च्या तीनही मुख्य क्षमतांचा संपूर्ण संच (suite) उपलब्ध करून देणारे PhonePe हे पहिलेच भारतीय ॲप ठरले आहे.
8) Effective from 9 September 2026, Vipul Misra has been appointed as the Acting Chief Executive Officer of SriLankan Airlines. Misra, who headed the airline’s engineering division, was named acting CEO.
9 सप्टेंबर 2026 पासून विपुल मिश्रा यांची ‘श्रीलंकन एअरलाईन्स’चे प्रभारी मुख्य कार्यकारी अधिकारी (CEO) म्हणून नियुक्ती करण्यात आली आहे. एअरलाईनच्या अभियांत्रिकी विभागाचे प्रमुख असलेल्या मिश्रा यांची प्रभारी सीईओ म्हणून निवड करण्यात आली.
