1) On 31 August and 1 September 2026, the Yrys Ordo Congress Hall in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan hosted the 26th Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit. The summit marked the 25th anniversary of the SCO, which was established in 2001, and brought together the heads of the 10 member states, as well as representatives of observers and dialog partners.
31 ऑगस्ट आणि 01 सप्टेंबर 2026 रोजी, किर्गिस्तानमधील बिश्केक येथील ‘य्रिस ओर्डो काँग्रेस हॉल’मध्ये शांघाय सहकार्य संघटनेची (SCO) 26 वी शिखर परिषद आयोजित करण्यात आली होती. 2001 मध्ये स्थापन झालेल्या SCO च्या 25 व्या वर्धापन दिनानिमित्त आयोजित या परिषदेत संघटनेच्या 10 सदस्य देशांचे प्रमुख, तसेच निरीक्षक आणि संवाद भागीदार देशांचे प्रतिनिधी सहभागी झाले होते.
2) DGFT has launched automated issuance of Free Sale and Commerce Certificate (FSC) vide Trade Notice No. 24/2026-2027. The system is applicable to exporters applying for certificates under Paragraph 2.34 of the Handbook of Procedures for products not covered under the Drugs & Cosmetics Act, 1940.
DGFT ने व्यापार सूचना क्रमांक 24/2026-2027 द्वारे ‘फ्री सेल अँड कॉमर्स सर्टिफिकेट’ (FSC) स्वयंचलित पद्धतीने जारी करण्याची सुविधा सुरू केली आहे. ही प्रणाली अशा निर्यातदारांसाठी लागू आहे जे ‘ड्रग्ज अँड कॉस्मेटिक्स ॲक्ट, 1940’ (Drugs & Cosmetics Act, 1940) च्या कक्षेत न येणाऱ्या उत्पादनांसाठी ‘हँडबुक ऑफ प्रोसिजर्स’मधील परिच्छेद 2.34 अन्वये प्रमाणपत्रासाठी अर्ज करत आहेत.
3) Indian Railroads has approved Rs 170 crore for the deployment of Kavach Version 4.0 on the remaining 712 route kilometers of the Moradabad Division of the Northern Railroad. Kavach is an indigenous Automatic Train Protection system implemented on Indian Railroads for train safety functions like automatic braking and speed control.
उत्तर रेल्वेच्या मुरादाबाद विभागातील उर्वरित 712 मार्ग-किलोमीटरवर ‘कवच आवृत्ती 4.0’ (Kavach Version 4.0) कार्यान्वित करण्यासाठी भारतीय रेल्वेने १७० कोटी रुपयांना मंजुरी दिली आहे. ‘कवच’ ही भारतीय रेल्वेवर राबवली जाणारी स्वदेशी ‘ऑटोमॅटिक ट्रेन प्रोटेक्शन’ (स्वयंचलित ट्रेन सुरक्षा) प्रणाली आहे, जी स्वयंचलित ब्रेक लावणे आणि वेग नियंत्रित करणे यांसारख्या रेल्वे सुरक्षेच्या कार्यांसाठी वापरली जाते.
4) The National Commodity & Derivatives Exchange Limited (NCDEX) launched RAINCHNNAI, a weather futures contract for Chennai’s Northeast monsoon. It is cash settled and uses official rainfall data from the India Meteorological Department (IMD) and is linked to rainfall recorded at the Meenambakkam and Nungambakkam meteorological stations in Chennai.
नॅशनल कमोडिटी अँड डेरिव्हेटिव्ह्ज एक्सचेंज लिमिटेड (NCDEX) ने चेन्नईच्या ईशान्य मान्सूनसाठी ‘RAINCHNNAI’ हा हवामान-आधारित फ्युचर्स करार (weather futures contract) सुरू केला आहे. हा करार रोख रकमेद्वारे निकाली काढला जातो (cash-settled) आणि यात भारतीय हवामान विभागाच्या (IMD) अधिकृत पर्जन्यमानाची आकडेवारी वापरली जाते; तसेच तो चेन्नईमधील मीनाम्बक्कम आणि नुंगमबक्कम येथील हवामान केंद्रांवर नोंदवल्या गेलेल्या पावसाशी जोडलेला आहे.
5) The fourth edition of the Tri-Services Future Warfare Course culminated in New Delhi on 30 August 2026 after a four-week program that commenced on 03 August 2026 at the Manekshaw Center. The course was held under the aegis of the Headquarters Integrated Defense Staff and coordinated by the Center for Joint Warfare Studies.
‘मानेकशा सेंटर’ येथे 3 ऑगस्ट 2026 रोजी सुरू झालेला चार आठवड्यांचा ‘ट्राय-सर्व्हिसेस फ्युचर वॉरफेअर कोर्स’ (Tri-Services Future Warfare Course) 30 ऑगस्ट 2026 रोजी नवी दिल्ली येथे संपन्न झाला. हा अभ्यासक्रम ‘हेडक्वार्टर्स इंटिग्रेटेड डिफेन्स स्टाफ’च्या (Headquarters Integrated Defense Staff) विद्यमाने आयोजित करण्यात आला होता आणि ‘सेंटर फॉर जॉइंट वॉरफेअर स्टडीज’ने (Center for Joint Warfare Studies) त्याचे समन्वय साधले होते.
6) Airbus has awarded a multi-year contract to Mahindra Aerostructures Pvt. Ltd (MASPL), a Mahindra Group company, for the manufacturing and supply of fuselage skins for the A320neo and A321XLR passenger aircraft. The work will be carried out at Mahindra’s facility in Bengaluru, and the finished components will be shipped to an Airbus Aerostructures assembly plant in Augsburg, Germany.
एअरबसने A320neo आणि A321XLR या प्रवासी विमानांसाठी ‘फ्युजलेज स्किन्स’ (विमानाच्या मुख्य सांगाड्याचे बाह्य आवरण) तयार करणे आणि त्यांचा पुरवठा करणे याकरिता महिंद्रा समूहाची कंपनी असलेल्या ‘महिंद्रा एरोस्ट्रक्चर्स प्रायव्हेट लिमिटेड’ला (MASPL) अनेक वर्षांचा कंत्राट दिला आहे. हे काम बंगळुरू येथील महिंद्राच्या कारखान्यात केले जाईल आणि तयार झालेले सुटे भाग जर्मनीतील ऑग््सबर्ग (Augsburg) येथील एअरबस एरोस्ट्रक्चर्सच्या असेंब्ली प्लांटमध्ये पाठवले जातील.
7) India’s exports of coconut products increased 62% to ₹7,038.35 crore (USD 794.70 million) in FY26 from ₹4,349.03 crore in the last fiscal. India also continued to be the world’s leading coconut producer contributing 31.24% of global coconut production.
भारताच्या नारळ उत्पादनांच्या निर्यातीत वाढ होऊन ती मागील आर्थिक वर्षातील 4,349.03 कोटी रुपयांवरून 62 टक्क्यांनी वाढून 7,038.35 कोटी रुपयांवर (794.70 दशलक्ष अमेरिकन डॉलर्स) पोहोचली आहे. तसेच, जागतिक नारळ उत्पादनात 31.24 टक्के वाटा उचलत भारत जगातील आघाडीचा नारळ उत्पादक देश म्हणून कायम राहिला आहे.
8) On 31 August 2026, Argentina captain and one of the most capped players in football, Lionel Messi, announced his retirement from international football. He finished his senior international career with 125 goals in 207 appearances for Argentina.
31 ऑगस्ट 2026 रोजी, अर्जेंटिनाचा कर्णधार आणि फुटबॉलमधील सर्वाधिक सामने खेळणाऱ्या खेळाडूंपैकी एक असलेल्या लिओनेल मेस्सीने आंतरराष्ट्रीय फुटबॉलमधून निवृत्ती जाहीर केली. अर्जेंटिनासाठी 207 सामन्यांत 125 गोल करत त्याने आपली वरिष्ठ आंतरराष्ट्रीय कारकीर्द पूर्ण केली.
