1) On 10 August 2026, the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) announced the final winners of the National Climate Stack Innovation Challenge. The challenge was implemented in partnership with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and Dalberg Advisors, using the Data in Climate Resilient Agriculture (DiCRA) framework.

10 ऑगस्ट 2026 रोजी, ‘नॅशनल बँक फॉर ॲग्रीकल्चर अँड रुरल डेव्हलपमेंट’ने (नाबार्ड) ‘नॅशनल क्लायमेट स्टॅक इनोव्हेशन चॅलेंज’च्या अंतिम विजेत्यांची घोषणा केली. ‘डेटा इन क्लायमेट रेझिलिएंट ॲग्रीकल्चर’ (DiCRA) या आराखड्याचा वापर करून, ‘बिल अँड मेलिंडा गेट्स फाउंडेशन’ आणि ‘डालबर्ग ॲडव्हायझर्स’ यांच्या भागीदारीत हे आव्हान राबवण्यात आले होते.

2) On 5 August 2026, the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises and the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade signed a Memorandum of Understanding for wider market access for Geographical Indication products at Vanijya Bhawan, New Delhi. The MoU connects the MSME Ministry’s enterprise support systems with the legal and administrative framework of DPIIT under the Geographical Indications of Goods Act, 1999.

5 ऑगस्ट 2026 रोजी, नवी दिल्ली येथील ‘वाणिज्य भवन’ येथे ‘सूक्ष्म, लघु आणि मध्यम उद्योग मंत्रालय’ (MSME) आणि ‘उद्योग आणि अंतर्गत व्यापार प्रोत्साहन विभाग’ (DPIIT) यांच्यात ‘भौगोलिक मानांकन’ (Geographical Indication – GI) प्राप्त उत्पादनांना बाजारपेठेत अधिक व्यापक प्रवेश मिळवून देण्यासाठी एका सामंजस्य करारावर (MoU) स्वाक्षरी करण्यात आली. हा करार MSME मंत्रालयाच्या उद्योग-सहाय्य प्रणालींना, ‘वस्तूंचे भौगोलिक मानांकन (नोंदणी आणि संरक्षण) कायदा, 1999’ (Geographical Indications of Goods Act, 1999) अंतर्गत असलेल्या DPIIT च्या कायदेशीर आणि प्रशासकीय चौकटीशी जोडतो.

3) Vietnamese aerospace company VinSpace signed a deal with SpaceX for the launch of its first satellites into orbit in 2027 on 11 August 2026. The launch will happen on a SpaceX Transporter rideshare mission, where multiple payloads ride on the same rocket and share the launch costs.

व्हिएतनामी एरोस्पेस कंपनी ‘विनस्पेस’ (VinSpace) ने 11 ऑगस्ट 2026 रोजी ‘स्पेसएक्स’ (SpaceX) सोबत एक करार केला, ज्याअंतर्गत 2027 मध्ये त्यांचे पहिले उपग्रह कक्षेत प्रक्षेपित केले जातील. हे प्रक्षेपण स्पेसएक्सच्या ‘ट्रान्सपोर्टर राइडशेअर मिशन’द्वारे केले जाईल; या मोहिमेत एकाच रॉकेटवरून अनेक ‘पेलोड्स’ (उपग्रह किंवा इतर उपकरणे) नेले जातात आणि प्रक्षेपणाचा खर्च विभागला जातो.

4) The Jammu and Kashmir government on 9 August 2026 sanctioned Rs 10 crore for the repair, renovation and restoration of Rattan Garh Fort in Bhaderwah in Doda district. The project aims to conserve the architectural integrity of the fort and to develop it as a heritage and tourism site in Chenab Valley.

जम्मू आणि काश्मीर सरकारने 9 ऑगस्ट 2026 रोजी डोडा जिल्ह्यातील भदरवाह येथील ‘रतन गड’ किल्ल्याच्या दुरुस्ती, नूतनीकरण आणि संवर्धनासाठी 10 कोटी रुपयांना मंजुरी दिली. या प्रकल्पाचा उद्देश किल्ल्याचे वास्तुशिल्पविषयक वैशिष्ट्य जपणे आणि चिनाब खोऱ्यातील एक वारसा व पर्यटन स्थळ म्हणून त्याचा विकास करणे हा आहे.

5) Union Minister for Agriculture, Farmers’ Welfare and Rural Development Shivraj Singh Chouhan launched a system for agriculture students on the National Scholarship Portal at the Indian Council of Agricultural Research – Indian Agricultural Research Institute, Pusa, New Delhi on 10 August 2026. On the launch, the Direct Benefit Transfer mechanism of scholarship and fellowship funds worth ₹21.35 crore was provided to more than 6,000 agricultural students across India.

कृषी, शेतकरी कल्याण आणि ग्रामीण विकास मंत्री शिवराज सिंह चौहान यांनी 10 ऑगस्ट 2026 रोजी नवी दिल्लीतील ‘भारतीय कृषी संशोधन परिषद – भारतीय कृषी संशोधन संस्था’ (पुसा) येथे कृषी विद्यार्थ्यांसाठी ‘नॅशनल स्कॉलरशिप पोर्टल’वर एका प्रणालीचा शुभारंभ केला. या शुभारंभप्रसंगी, देशभरातील 6,000 हून अधिक कृषी विद्यार्थ्यांना 21.35 कोटी रुपये रकमेची शिष्यवृत्ती आणि फेलोशिप निधी ‘थेट लाभ हस्तांतरण’ (DBT) प्रणालीद्वारे प्रदान करण्यात आला.

6) On August 10, 2026, V.O. Chidambaranar Port Authority, Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu, became the first major port in India to become Scope-2 Emission-Free. The port was also the first port in India to get ISO 50001:2018 certification for its Energy Management System.

10 ऑगस्ट 2026 रोजी, तामिळनाडूतील थुथुकुडी येथील ‘व्ही.ओ. चिदंबरनार पोर्ट ऑथॉरिटी’ हे ‘स्कोप-२ उत्सर्जन-मुक्त’ (Scope-2 Emission-Free) बनणारे भारतातील पहिले प्रमुख बंदर ठरले. तसेच, आपल्या ऊर्जा व्यवस्थापन प्रणालीसाठी (Energy Management System) ‘ISO 50001:2018’ प्रमाणपत्र मिळवणारे हे भारतातील पहिले बंदर होते.

7) Scientists have identified an ozone layer, thick and concentrated, over the North Bay of Bengal, at an altitude of 21 to 23 kilometers. The result was obtained on 10 August 2026 during the NetRAD-ASMA Phase-I campaign and published in the American Geophysical Union journal Earth and Space Science.

शास्त्रज्ञांनी उत्तर बंगालच्या उपसागरावरील 21 ते 23 किलोमीटर उंचीवर ओझोनचा एक जाड आणि संहत (concentrated) थर शोधून काढला आहे. हे निष्कर्ष 10 ऑगस्ट 2026 रोजी ‘NetRAD-ASMA’च्या पहिल्या टप्प्यातील मोहिमेदरम्यान प्राप्त झाले आणि ते अमेरिकन जिओफिजिकल युनियनच्या ‘अर्थ अँड स्पेस सायन्स’ या नियतकालिकात प्रकाशित करण्यात आले.

8) Indian higher education institutions were included in the QS World University Rankings 2027 in the 2015 edition. The rankings were released on 18 June 2026 and the Indian government said the rise in representation was the outcome of the National Institutional Ranking Framework, which was launched in 2015.
