1) The Film Federation of India has chosen the Marathi language film Gondhal as India’s official entry to the 99th Academy Awards for Best International Feature Film category. It was selected from a shortlist of 33 films in consideration for the national submission, with the announcement made on 18 September 2026.’
फिल्म फेडरेशन ऑफ इंडिया’ने 99 व्या अकादमी पुरस्कारांमधील ‘सर्वोत्कृष्ट आंतरराष्ट्रीय फीचर फिल्म’ या श्रेणीसाठी भारताची अधिकृत प्रवेशिका म्हणून ‘गोंधळ’ या मराठी चित्रपटाची निवड केली आहे. राष्ट्रीय स्तरावरील प्रवेशिकेसाठी विचारात घेण्यात आलेल्या ३३ चित्रपटांच्या अंतिम यादीतून याची निवड करण्यात आली असून, याची घोषणा 18 सप्टेंबर 2026 रोजी करण्यात आली.
2) On 18 September 2026, the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) further strengthened its framework on Unsolicited Commercial Communications (UCC) in New Delhi. The amended rules provide for AI based detection of suspected spam, a consumer appeal process, and new compliance requirements for telecom service providers and entities using automated calling systems.
18 सप्टेंबर 2026 रोजी, ‘टेलिकॉम रेग्युलेटरी ऑथॉरिटी ऑफ इंडिया’ने (TRAI) नवी दिल्ली येथे ‘अनसोलिसिटेड कमर्शियल कम्युनिकेशन्स’ (UCC) म्हणजेच अवांछित व्यावसायिक संदेशांबाबतची आपली नियमावली अधिक बळकट केली. या सुधारित नियमांमध्ये संशयास्पद ‘स्पॅम’ ओळखण्यासाठी कृत्रिम बुद्धिमत्तेवर (AI) आधारित यंत्रणा, ग्राहकांसाठी अपील करण्याची प्रक्रिया, तसेच दूरसंचार सेवा पुरवठादार आणि स्वयंचलित कॉलिंग प्रणालींचा वापर करणाऱ्या संस्थांसाठी नवीन अनुपालन आवश्यकतांचा समावेश आहे.
3) Odisha has announced an 870 acre ‘Odisha Silicon Valley’ project at Naraj near Cuttack for semiconductor, electronics and information technology industries. Located near the Cuttack-Bhubaneswar urban corridor and the Mahanadi River, it was unveiled at SEMICON India 2026 in New Delhi.
ओडिशाने कटकजवळील ‘नराज’ येथे सेमीकंडक्टर, इलेक्ट्रॉनिक्स आणि माहिती तंत्रज्ञान उद्योगांसाठी 870 एकरचा ‘ओडिशा सिलिकॉन व्हॅली’ प्रकल्प जाहीर केला आहे. कटक-भुवनेश्वर शहरी पट्टा आणि महानदी नदीच्या जवळ स्थित असलेल्या या प्रकल्पाचे अनावरण नवी दिल्लीतील ‘सेमिकॉन इंडिया 2026’ (SEMICON India 2026) मध्ये करण्यात आले.
4) The World Economic Forum released its Global Gender Gap Index 2026 on 16 September 2026. India continues to retain its position of 131 among 145 countries in the index as in the previous edition.
जागतिक आर्थिक मंचाने 16 सप्टेंबर 2026 रोजी आपला ‘जागतिक लिंग तफावत निर्देशांक 2026’ (Global Gender Gap Index 2026) जाहीर केला. या निर्देशांकात १४५ देशांपैकी भारताने आपले 131 वे स्थान कायम राखले आहे, जे मागील आवृत्तीतही होते.
5) On 18 September 2026, Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) filed three adjudication cases against Nestle India for alleged non-compliance pertaining to infant nutrition products. There were two cases involving promotional claims for NAN Excella Pro Stage 1 and Lactogen Pro 1 and one case involving a sample of a follow-up formula found to be sub-standard for biotin content on laboratory analysis.
18 सप्टेंबर 2026 रोजी, भारतीय अन्न सुरक्षा आणि मानक प्राधिकरणाने (FSSAI) बालकांच्या पोषण उत्पादनांसंबंधी कथित नियमांचे पालन न केल्याबद्दल नेस्ले इंडियाविरुद्ध तीन न्यायनिर्णय प्रकरणे दाखल केली. यापैकी दोन प्रकरणे ‘NAN Excella Pro Stage 1’ आणि ‘Lactogen Pro 1’ यांच्या प्रचारात्मक दाव्यांशी संबंधित होती, तर एक प्रकरण प्रयोगशाळेतील विश्लेषणात बायोटिनच्या प्रमाणासाठी निकृष्ट आढळलेल्या फॉलो-अप फॉर्म्युलाच्या नमुन्याशी संबंधित होते.
6) L&T Semiconductor Technologies, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Larsen & Toubro, announced its first silicon carbide (SiC) product platform at SEMICON India 2026 on 18th September 2026. The platform includes a 1200V SiC MOSFET for power conversion applications. 40 new products were unveiled by the company at the event.
लार्सन अँड टुब्रोची पूर्ण मालकीची उपकंपनी असलेल्या ‘एल अँड टी सेमीकंडक्टर टेक्नॉलॉजीज’ने 18 सप्टेंबर 2026 रोजी ‘सेमिकॉन इंडिया 2026’ (SEMICON India 2026) मध्ये आपले पहिले सिलिकॉन कार्बाइड (SiC) उत्पादन व्यासपीठ (प्लॅटफॉर्म) जाहीर केले. या व्यासपीठामध्ये पॉवर कन्व्हर्जन (ऊर्जा रूपांतरण) उपयोगांसाठी 1200V SiC MOSFET चा समावेश आहे. या कार्यक्रमात कंपनीने 40 नवीन उत्पादने सादर केली.
7) The Indian Railroads approved the doubling of the 10.86-km Chouk-Karjat railroad section in Maharashtra on 18 September 2026. The project has been sanctioned at a cost of ₹497 crore and comes under the zone of Central Railroad.
भारतीय रेल्वेने 18 सप्टेंबर 2026 रोजी महाराष्ट्रातील 10.86 किमी लांबीच्या चौक-कर्जत रेल्वे मार्गाच्या दुपदरीकरणास मंजुरी दिली. 497 कोटी रुपये खर्चाच्या या प्रकल्पाला मंजुरी देण्यात आली असून, हा मार्ग मध्य रेल्वेच्या अखत्यारीत येतो.
8) The year 2027 will mark the India-Japan Year of Shared Horizons to commemorate 75 years of diplomatic relations between the two countries. The anniversary marks the establishment of diplomatic relations between India and Japan in 1952.
भारत आणि जपान यांच्यातील राजनैतिक संबंधांना 75 वर्षे पूर्ण होत असल्याच्या निमित्ताने, 2027 हे वर्ष ‘भारत-जपान सामायिक क्षितिजांचे वर्ष’ (India-Japan Year of Shared Horizons) म्हणून साजरे केले जाईल. ही वर्धापनदिन घटना 1952 मध्ये भारत आणि जपान यांच्यात राजनैतिक संबंध प्रस्थापित झाल्याचे प्रतीक आहे.
