APS Principal Qualification

• Regular Masters Degree with 50% aggregate marks in CBSE notified teaching subject (preferably being taught in Army Public Schools) from a recognized University/Institute.
• Regular Bachelor of Education with min 50% aggregate marks from UGC/NCTE recognized University/Institution.

Experience Required

• 08 Yrs regular service as a PGT in any teaching subject in a recognized CBSE school. For a serving Vice Principal, it will be 06 Yrs as a PGT in any teaching subject in a recognized CBSE school and 02 Yrs administrative experience as a Vice Principal.
• OR 15 Yrs combined experience as PGT/TGT out of which min 03 Yrs should be as a PGT in any teaching subject in a recognized CBSE school.

Age Limit

Age limit: as on 01 Apr of the Yr of employment - Min 40 Yrs and Max 50 Yrs. Max age limit for Regular APS employees and ESM will be 55 Yrs.

Additional Desired Qualifications

PhD, M.Ed and min 03 Yrs administrative experience as a Vice Principal/ Sr Secy School Exam-in-Charge in a recognized CBSE School. For APS employees (PGT/ TGT) only experience and age criteria is required to be fulfilled. Adequate working knowledge of computers/MS Office/MS Power Point.

Selection Process

Through panel interviews (only candidates short listed, based on qualification, experience and other criteria as may be considered by the management, will be called for interview).

• Initial appointment will be for four years. On completion of successful service, the service may be regularised through a special screening board by the appointing authority subject to meeting good professional competency and other laid criteria as per AWES norms.
