The UPSSSC Computer Operator last date to submit the online application and pay the fee is 28 September 2026. UPSSSC Computer Operator Vacancy 2026

A total of 12 vacancies have been notified for Computer Operator Grade-A and Assistant Computer Operator posts under the Advocate General's Office, Allahabad High Court. Both posts are currently temporary in nature. The Commission has noted that the total and category-wise number of notified vacancies may increase or decrease based on updated vertical and horizontal reservation policies of the Uttar Pradesh Government.

UPSSSC Computer Operator Eligibility Criteria

Only candidates who appeared in the Preliminary Eligibility Test-2025 (PET-2025) and have been issued a PET-2025 score card by the Commission are eligible to apply for this Main Examination. Shortlisting for the Main Examination is done on merit based on the normalized PET-2025 score; candidates with a zero or negative absolute or normalized PET-2025 score will not be shortlisted. Candidates whose PET-2025 result is marked "Under Investigation" or "Provisional" are allowed to apply provisionally, subject to the Commission's final decision on their case.

UPSSSC Computer Operator Qualification

Computer Operator Grade-A

A Bachelor's degree from a university established by law in India, or an equivalent qualification recognized by the government, along with a Diploma in Computer Science or a Computer Science "O" Level certificate from NIELIT (or an equivalent institution recognized by the government). Three years of experience in the field of computer applications is required.

Assistant Computer Operator

The same mandatory qualification applies - a Bachelor's degree or its recognized equivalent, along with a Diploma in Computer Science or NIELIT "O" Level certificate - but with two years of experience in the field of computer applications.

Preferential Qualification (Both Posts)

Other things being equal, preference in direct recruitment will be given to a candidate who has served in the Territorial Army for at least 2 years, or who holds a National Cadet Corps (NCC) "B" certificate.

At the application stage, only the online processing fee is charged, as shown above. Candidates belonging to the Dependent of Freedom Fighter, Ex-Servicemen, Women, Persons with Disabilities, and Outstanding Sportsperson categories pay the fee applicable to their original (vertical) category listed in the table. Fee can be paid via Credit Card, Debit Card, Internet Banking, UPI, or SBI e-Challan.

Separately, a written examination fee will apply only to candidates shortlisted for the Main Examination, payable before downloading the Main Examination admit card. The exact amount of this separate written-exam fee is not specified in the pages of this notification.

UPSSSC Computer Operator Selection Process

Selection is based on a written (Main) examination, conducted under the Uttar Pradesh Advocate General and Law Officer Establishment Service Rules, 2009 (as amended), following the two-tier examination system adopted by the Commission (in which only candidates who appeared in the Commission's Preliminary Eligibility Test can apply for the Main Examination).

Shortlisting for the written Main Examination is done on the basis of each candidate's normalized PET-2025 score. Category-wise, 15 times the number of advertised vacancies will be shortlisted for the written examination - including all candidates who hold a normalized score (to two decimal places) equal to the final category-wise cut-off score. If the examination is conducted in more than one shift or day, scores will be normalized for comparative evaluation as per the Commission's Essential Notice No. 42/05/Vigyapan Anubhag (Eleven)/2019 dated 22 May 2019. Details of the written examination scheme, syllabus, and date will be notified separately in due course.

How to Apply for UPSSSC Computer Operator Recruitment 2026

1. Visit the Commission's website, upsssc.gov.in, and open the relevant advertisement under the "Live Advertisement Segment" on the homepage.
2. Log in using your PET-2025 Registration Number and the OTP sent to your registered mobile number/email (Applicant Authentication).
3. Your personal details recorded during PET-2025 - such as name, parent's name, domicile, category, EWS status, horizontal reservation details, date of birth, gender, marital status and contact information - will be auto-displayed.
4. Select the post(s) you wish to apply for. A claim for any post that is not selected will not be considered valid.
5. For each selected post, confirm (Yes/No) whether you hold the required educational qualification, and enter details such as board/university name, year of passing, certificate/roll number, and marks.
6. Enter the verification code; your photograph and signature uploaded during PET-2025 will be auto-displayed and cannot be changed.
7. Fill in other details, including preferential qualification (if any), and review your correspondence/permanent address.
8. Read and accept the declaration, enter the verification code, and click Save and Submit to proceed to fee payment.
9. Pay the fee online via Credit Card, Debit Card, Internet Banking, UPI, or SBI e-Challan. On successful payment, your application will auto-submit - download and print a copy for your records.

UPSSSC Computer Operator Apply Online

The UPSSSC Computer Operator apply online link is available on upsssc.gov.in from 07 September 2026, and the last date to submit the application and fee is 28 September 2026. Corrections to permitted fields (correspondence address, EWS/horizontal reservation details, mandatory/preferential qualification details, and marital status) can be made until 05 October 2026 using the "Modify Application" option after OTP login. No changes are possible after this date, and the Commission does not accept individual representations for corrections beyond the deadline.

Other Important Instructions

• Only one application is to be submitted for the advertised posts; if a candidate submits more than one, only the last submitted application will be accepted.
• Reserved-category candidates must clearly mark their category in the application. A candidate eligible to claim more than one reserved category will be given the benefit of only one - whichever is more advantageous.
• Candidates who are not originally domiciled in Uttar Pradesh are not entitled to reservation benefits and will be treated as belonging to the Unreserved category.
• Women candidates will be placed in the vertical category corresponding to the caste certificate issued in respect of their father's side; this caste certificate alone is valid.
• Candidates already serving in Central or State Government service must obtain a "No Objection Certificate" from their employer for participating in the selection process.
• Persons with Disabilities must submit a disability certificate in the prescribed format issued by the competent authority, clearly stating the type and percentage of disability, and must correctly mark their disability sub-category in the application as per the applicable government orders.
• The date, time, and venue of the written examination will be communicated through the admit card; no change of exam centre, date, or time is permitted.
• Providing incorrect information, not possessing the mandatory qualification by the closing date, or furnishing false particulars can lead to rejection of candidature and debarment from this and future examinations/selections conducted by the Commission.
• Provisions of the Uttar Pradesh Public Examination (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, 2024, dated 6 August 2024, apply to this examination.
