SCI Junior Court Assistant Vacancy 2026 Details
A total of 250 tentative vacancies have been announced for the post of Junior Court Assistant. The number of posts may be subject to change due to administrative exigencies and/or the requirement of the Registry, which reserves the right to effect such change with the approval of the Competent Authority.
The benefit of reservation will be in accordance with Rule 4A of the Supreme Court Officers and Servants (Conditions of Service and Conduct) Rules, 1961.

SCI Junior Court Assistant Qualification
- Bachelor's degree of a recognized University in India.
- Knowledge of Computer operation, with a typing speed of 35 w.p.m. on computer.
SCI Junior Court Assistant Age Limit 2026
As on 1st September 2026, candidates should not be below 18 years of age. The upper age limit for candidates is 30 years.
- Usual age relaxation is admissible to candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes (Non-Creamy Layer), Physically Challenged, and Ex-Servicemen, as per Government of India Rules.
- Relaxation up to a maximum of 5 years, over and above the prescribed age limit of 30 years, is admissible to dependents of freedom fighters.

SCI Junior Court Assistant Shortlisting Ratios
In case a large number of candidates qualify the Objective Type Test by securing the minimum qualifying 50 marks or more, candidates will be shortlisted for the second stage (Typing Speed Test and Written Test) in the ratio of 1:10 against the number of tentative vacancies, based on the merit list.
The Written Test (Descriptive) answer sheets will be evaluated only for candidates who successfully qualify the Typing Speed Test, since qualifying the Typing Speed Test is mandatory. Candidates who successfully qualify all three tests — Objective Type Test, Typing Speed Test, and Written Test — will be shortlisted for Interview in the ratio of 1:3 against the number of tentative vacancies.

SCI Junior Court Assistant Negative Marking
There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each incorrect answer in the Objective Type Test (Multiple Choice Questions). - If a candidate is found guilty of impersonation, submitting fabricated/false documents, or furnishing false information at any stage, they will be removed/disqualified, prosecuted, and debarred from future appointment in the Registry.
