STPI Apprentice Trainee Vacancy 2026 Details

A total of 15 vacancies have been notified for Apprentice Trainee, across two discipline groups and ten STPI centres.

Depending upon the vacancies available in various disciplines, selection of candidates will be carried out by shortlisting based on their performance in the interview.

STPI Apprentice Trainee Eligibility Criteria 2026

STPI Apprentice Trainee eligibility 2026 is based on educational qualification in one of two discipline groups, along with the prescribed age limit.

STPI Apprentice Trainee Qualification

Only candidates who have completed their Degree/Diploma qualification in June 2021 or thereafter shall be considered for engagement as Apprentice Trainee. Candidates who have already completed their apprenticeship (if any) in the past at STPI or any other organization shall not be considered.

STPI Apprentice Trainee Age Limit 2026

The age limit for STPI Apprentice Trainee Recruitment 2026 is calculated as on 14.09.2026.

Reservation shall be applicable as per Government of India Rules.

STPI Apprentice Trainee Stipend 2026

Selected Apprentice Trainees will receive a monthly stipend based on their qualification:

• B.E/B.Tech candidates: Rs. 15,000/- per month
• Bachelor in Arts/Commerce/Administration, etc.: Rs. 12,300/- per month

The Screening-cum-Selection Committee may offer a higher stipend, up to Rs. 20,000/- per month, based on the candidate's performance in the interview. The stipend payable to apprentices will be facilitated through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) mechanism - the admissible Government share of stipend will be directly credited to the apprentices' bank accounts through the NATS portal after successful registration on the NATS Portal for DBT.

STPI Apprentice Trainee Selection Process 2026

Selection of candidates for STPI Apprentice Trainee posts will be carried out by shortlisting, based on their performance in the interview, depending upon the vacancies available in the various disciplines. Reservation shall be applicable as per Government of India Rules. There is no written examination specified in the notification.

STPI Apprentice Trainee Apply Online process requires mandatory prior registration on the NATS Portal, followed by application through STPI's own web portal. Only online applications will be accepted; offline applications are not considered.

1. Register on the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) Portal at https://nats.education.gov.in before applying through STPI's portal - this is mandatory.
2. On the NATS Portal, click the "Student" section, then "Enroll" under the Student section, confirm you meet the eligibility criteria, and proceed to the Enrollment Form.
3. Fill in personal information: name, date of birth, gender, email, mobile number, and create a login ID and password. Enter your Aadhaar number and other required identification details.
4. Fill in educational details: highest qualification (Diploma/Graduate), institution name, year of passing, and percentage/CGPA.
5. Fill in communication and bank details: present and permanent address, and bank account details (account number, IFSC code, bank name) for stipend processing.
6. Review all details carefully and submit the NATS registration form; a unique Student Enrolment ID will be generated and sent to your registered email ID.
7. Visit STPI's Web Portal under the Career Section at www.stpi.in and fill the online application for Apprentice Trainee, mentioning your NATS Enrolment ID in STPI's Online application module.
8. Submit the completed application on or before 30.09.2026; applications received after the last date will not be considered.
