SAIL Consultant Recruitment 2026 – Walkin

Steel Authority of India (SAIL) has announced 3 vacancies for Consultant (Sports Coach) - Badminton, Consultant (Sports Coach) - Table Tennis and Consultant (Sports Coach) - Basketball posts on a contract basis under advertisement number DSP/PERS-NW/RECTT/CONSULTANT(SC)/2026/2092. Candidates holding a Diploma/Degree in Sports Coaching or Sports Achievements can appear for a walk-in interview on 27 October 2026, reporting at 10:00 AM at Centre for L&D, Durgapur Steel Plant, Durgapur. The notified consolidated monthly remuneration for these posts ranges from Rs. 28,000 to Rs. 36,000 based on qualification level. SAIL Consultant (Sports Coach) Age Limit

The upper age limit is 64 years as on 09/10/2026. The maximum tenure of engagement shall be subject to the upper age limit of 65 years. A Medical Fitness Certificate from a registered medical practitioner/Doctor is mandatory to be produced before engagement.

SAIL Consultant (Sports Coach) Salary

The monthly remuneration is applicable for engagement for a minimum of 6 hours a day for six days in a week. If engagement is for less or more than 6 hours per day, rates may be pro-rated accordingly. No HRA will be admissible. Ex-employees of SAIL may retain Company accommodation or other ex-employees may be provided 2 BR or equivalent accommodation on payment basis subject to availability.

SAIL Consultant (Sports Coach) Important Instructions

• The engagement is purely of temporary nature on a tenure basis for a period of one year, extendable twice up to a maximum of three years.
• Ex-employees separated through Voluntary Retirement are not considered for engagement.
• TA/DA for attending the interview is not admissible.
• Selected coaches shall give their services in emergent conditions even beyond normal working hours without extra remuneration.
• Income Tax/GST shall be dealt in terms of applicable provisions under the Income Tax/GST Act.
• The engagement can be terminated by giving one month's notice by either party or forthwith under conditions like poor performance, medical unfitness, or moral turpitude.
