The Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC), Cuttack, has shortlisted candidates for interview for the post of Assistant Professor (Stage-I) in Political Science, under the OES (College Branch), pursuant to Advertisement No. 27 of 2023-2024. Documents Required for the OPSC Assistant Professor Interview

Candidates must carry the following documents to the interview, as per Notice No. 1306/PSC:

  • A list of articles/publications (Annexure-I format).
  • A list of books authored and co-authored (Annexure-II format).
  • Photocopies, in 4 sets, of the best 4 original publications/articles where the candidate is the first or second author only.
  • 4 sets of the best 2 books originally authored or co-authored by the candidate.
  • A brief synopsis of the PhD thesis, in 2 pages, submitted in 4 sets (Annexure-III format).
  • List of participation in National/International seminars or workshops (Annexure-IV format).
  • List of International/National/State-level awards received (Annexure-V format).

In addition to the above, candidates must bring the following in original for verification by the concerned section before the interview:

  • Original documents relating to International/National/State-level Awards.

Interview Day Instructions

  • Candidates must report to the OPSC office two hours before the scheduled commencement of their interview session.
  • The Pedagogy Skill component is part of the interview. Candidates must come prepared to present a topic of their choice within 8 to 10 minutes before the Interview Board. A whiteboard will be provided by the Commission.
  • Separately, as per Notice No. 1306/PSC, candidates may also be asked to take a demo class of a maximum of 7 to 8 minutes on the whiteboard, on a topic either chosen by them or assigned by the Board, to test their pedagogical skills.
  • Allotment of the Interview Board is done through a draw of lots conducted by each candidate in the presence of all other candidates.
  • The draw of lots for the 1st sitting is held from 9:00 AM to 9:30 AM, and for the 2nd sitting from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM.
  • Candidates who do not report before the draw of lots closes will have their Board allotted through a draw of lots conducted by any one of the candidates present.
  • The interview is an identity-less process. No personal particulars such as name, roll number, or any information that could reveal a candidate's identity are disclosed to the Interview Board. Each candidate appears before the Board using a system-generated Code Number.

  • Candidature for recruitment is purely provisional and is liable for rejection at any stage during or after the selection process if any inadequacy or deficiency is found.
