Municipal Corporation of Delhi Junior Resident Recruitment 2026 – Walkin for 13 Posts

Municipal Corporation of Delhi is recruiting candidates for 13 Junior Resident (MBBS) posts on a contract basis through a walk-in interview scheduled for 3 November 2026, with reporting at 9:00 AM at Library at G-block, 5th floor, Hindu Rao Hospital. Eligible candidates possessing the required MBBS qualification and registration with the Delhi Medical Council can attend the walk-in selection process. The notified pay is Pay Matrix Level - 10, and candidates should bring the filled application form along with required documents and the specified Bank Draft or Pay order at the time of interview, as per advertisement number 8806/HRH/2026.

Posts and Eligibility

The recruitment is for Junior Resident (MBBS) on a contract basis for 06 months. A total of 13 vacancies are available with the following category-wise break-up: UR: 00, OBC: 03, SC: 05, ST: 04, EWS: 01, Total: 13.

Educational Qualifications: Candidates must have completed one year rotatory internship on the date of interview, possess an MBBS Degree from a recognized University or equivalent as per MCI/NMCs, and must be registered with Delhi Medical Council. Candidates must not have completed 1 year Junior Residency from any Govt. Hospital on regular/contract basis and must have completed internship less than 02 years ago (List A). Junior Residents who have completed one year of Junior Residency or completed their internship more than 02 years ago (List B). List B will be offered residency only if List A candidates are not available.

Age Limit and Age Relaxation

Age limits for direct recruits vary by category as on the date of interview:

• UR & EWS: Not exceeding 40 years
• OBC: Not exceeding 43 years
• SC, ST: Not exceeding 45 years

Additional 10 years age relaxation is applicable for PWD candidates.

Application Fee

The fee is payable in the form of a Bank Draft or Pay order in favour of "COMMISSIONER, MUNICIPAL CORPORATION OF DELHI", payable at Delhi. No TA/DA will be paid for appearing in the interview. Fee submitted for the interview is non-refundable.

What to Bring

• Bank Draft or Pay order for the application fee.
• Aadhar Card.
• No Objection Certificate (for candidates who are in service, from his/her Head of Institution/employer).
• Valid caste certificate in the candidate's name issued by the competent authority (for SC/ST/OBC/EWS candidates). OBC certificate must clearly mention Non-Creamy layer for the current financial year. EWS certificate must be valid for the current financial year.

Municipal Corporation of Delhi Junior Resident (MBBS) Important Instructions

• Initial appointment will be for 06 months, and extension may be given for another 06 months to MBBS candidate only, subject to satisfactory work and conduct.
• The qualification and experience will be counted up to the date of interview.
• Doctors found guilty of any gross misconduct or negligence of duties shall be terminated without any notice or payment in lieu of notice period.
• 04% of seats out of the sanctioned posts in eligible specialties are reserved for Persons with Disability (PWD).
