Qualification and Experience

- Diploma or Post Diploma holder from a recognised institution in the particular field.
- Should be able to give solo performance for about 2 hours.
- Should be able to sing and conduct dance programmes by doing nattuvangam.
- Should be able to take part in Kalakshetra productions.
- Should be able to handle all the junior and senior level classes and theory in English.
- Should have a minimum of 8 years experience in the field.
Desirable Qualifications
- Knowledge of South Indian languages and Hindi.
- Ability to write music and dance notations.
Age Limit
The maximum age limit for appointment on deputation/short term contract shall not exceed 40 years on the closing date of receipt of application, i.e. 23-11-2026.

Kalakshetra Foundation Assistant Professor (Bharatanatyam) Job Description
The responsibilities attached with the post of Assistant Professor (Bharatanatyam) in RDCFA are as follows:
- To handle Diploma and Post-Diploma practical classes including theory;
- To complete entire curriculum within the specified time;
- To assess the learning quality of each student and accordingly supplement additional instructions, if any, as required;
- To hold regular meetings with parents and guardians and apprise them about the regularity in attendance, ability to learn, progress made in learning and any other relevant information about the child; and
- To take part in Kalakshetra productions
- To conduct rehearsals for all the dance dramas
- To assist in organizing art festivals and other functions throughout the year;
- To accompany artists in the performances conducted at Kalakshetra and abroad
- To choreograph dance dramas
- To provide guidance for Costume Department in designing costumes for dance dramas
- To coordinate with Dance section in organizing art festivals and other celebrations at Kalakshetra;
- To conduct rehearsals for all dance-dramas in co-ordination with dance section;
- To perform such other duties as may be prescribed by the Principal or by the administration of the Kalakshetra Foundation.
Selection Process
