Indian Coast Guard, Directorate of Recruitment has announced 3 vacancies for the Chargeman post. Candidates must apply offline by sending the application form by ordinary post to the Director General, (For PD (Rectt)), Coast Guard Headquarters, Directorate of Recruitment, C-1, Phase II on or before 24 November 2026, with the application process starting on 10 October 2026. Where and How to Send

Applicants must send their application form filled either in English or Hindi as per the prescribed format given at Annexure-1 with a duly affixed self-attested colour photograph. The application must be accompanied by photocopies of the required documents, self-attested with name and date. No original certificates are to be forwarded along with the application form.

Educational Qualification: A Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical or Marine or Electronics Engineering or Production Engineering from a recognized University/ Institution. Two years experience in the field of hull repair or general engineering and/or in electrical or electronics trades.

Age Limit: Minimum Age: 18 years, Maximum Age: 30 years.

Age Relaxation: Relaxable by 05 years for SC candidates against reserved vacancies and 10 years for PwBD candidates (15 years for SC PwBD candidate). Relaxable for Government servants upto five years in accordance with the instruction or orders issued by the Central Government.

Selection Process

The selection process comprises Scrutiny of applications, Document Verification, and Written Examination.

Written Examination: All shortlisted candidates will undergo a written examination on the basis of educational qualification prescribed for the post. The written examination will be pen-paper based and bilingual, consisting of 80 objective type questions with one mark for each correct answer and no negative marking. The subjects are Mathematics (20 questions, 20 marks), Science (20 questions, 20 marks), General Awareness (15 questions, 15 marks), English (15 questions, 15 marks), and Mental Ability/Reasoning (10 questions, 10 marks), with a duration of 01 Hour.
