IBPS Hindi Officer Eligibility Criteria

IBPS Hindi Officer Qualification

Candidates must hold a Master's degree from a recognized university in one of the following combinations:

1. Hindi (major/elective) with English as major or elective at graduation, OR
2. English (major/elective) with Hindi as major or elective at graduation, OR
3. Any subject other than Hindi/English, with Hindi as major/elective and English as medium of examination at degree level, OR
4. Any subject other than Hindi/English, with English as major/elective and Hindi as medium of examination at degree level

Degrees obtained through correspondence, distance education, or open university systems are not acceptable.

Work Experience

• One year of experience in translation work from English to Hindi and vice-versa (reports/documents/letters) in a bank/financial institution is desirable, not mandatory.
• Competency in operating a computer is mandatory - candidates must be able to type/create translated documents in MS Word and Excel in Hindi and English.
• Exposure or experience in developing AI-based tools for translation is an added qualification.

Other Eligibility Conditions

• Integrity should not have been doubtful during service/career
• No punishment/penalty during service/career
• No pending CBI or law enforcement cases
• Good knowledge of MS Office is necessary
• Not open to internal candidates (regular or contractual)

IBPS Hindi Officer Age Limit

As on 01.09.2026: Minimum 23 years, Maximum 30 years - i.e., candidates must be born not earlier than 02.09.1996 and not later than 01.09.2003 (both dates inclusive). IBPS reserves the right to relax or modify the age criteria for deserving candidates.

IBPS Hindi Officer Application Fee

Fee is payable online only, between 23.09.2026 and 06.10.2026 (both dates inclusive). Bank transaction charges are borne by the candidate.

IBPS Hindi Officer Salary

Figures as on September 2026. Annual CTC also includes PF contribution, medical benefits, mediclaim, telephone/newspaper reimbursement, canteen subsidy, performance-linked incentive, gratuity, superannuation and other benefits as per IBPS rules.

Service Bond: Selected candidates must execute a service bond of ₹2 lakhs and serve a minimum of 3 years, or pay ₹2 lakhs to IBPS.

IBPS Hindi Officer Selection Process

Selection is through: Online Examination, followed by Skill Test & Item Writing Exercise, Group Exercises, and Personal Interview, conducted at IBPS, Mumbai.

IBPS Hindi Officer Exam Pattern

There is a penalty of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer. No penalty for unattempted questions.

1. Visit the official website www.ibps.in and click "Click Here to Apply Online."
2. Click "Click Here for New Registration" and fill in basic details to generate a provisional registration number and password.
3. Upload photograph, signature, left thumb impression, hand-written declaration, brief resume (PDF), SSC/SSLC/10th certificate, and supporting eligibility documents as per the prescribed specifications.
4. Pay the ₹1,000 application fee online (Debit/Credit Card, Net Banking, IMPS, UPI, or Mobile Wallets).
5. Submit the form and download/print the e-receipt and application form for your records.
