A total of 310 seats have been notified across 13 ITI trades. Out of the 310 seats, 16 seats would be horizontally reserved for PWD candidates.

ECIL reserves the right to increase or decrease the notified vacancies/seats based on need.

ECIL ITI Trade Apprentice Qualification

Candidates must hold an ITI Pass Certificate, i.e., an NCVT certificate, in the respective trade applied for. All qualifications should be from Indian Institutes recognized by the appropriate Statutory Authority.

ECIL ITI Trade Apprentice Domicile Requirement

Only candidates residing in all districts of Telangana State are eligible to apply.

ECIL ITI Trade Apprentice Additional Eligibility Conditions

• Candidates who have already undergone or are currently undergoing Apprenticeship under the Apprenticeship Act 1961 in any Government, PSU, or Private Organization are not eligible to apply.
• The Degree of Disability for PWD candidates must be 40% and above.

ECIL ITI Trade Apprentice Selection Process 2026

1. Candidates will be selected based on ITI marks merit.
2. 70% of seats will be engaged with Government ITI students, and 30% of seats with Private ITI students.
3. The date of verification of original documents will be intimated by email to candidates in due course; candidates are required to attend document verification within short notice.

ECIL ITI Trade Apprentice – Documents Required at Verification

Candidates called for document verification must present the following original documents mandatorily, along with a set of photocopies:

• Online registered application form, duly signed by the candidate, with a recent colour passport-size photo affixed.
• All original certificates in support of MSDE Registration, date of birth, identity (Government-issued only, such as Aadhaar, Driving License, Passport, etc.), Educational Qualification, and latest Caste & Disability (PWD) certificates (wherever applicable), along with a set of photocopies.
• Category Certificate in support of SC/ST/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer)/EWS, in the prescribed proforma hosted on www.ecil.co.in.

No TA/DA will be paid for attending the Document Verification. Only after passing a practical test to determine proficiency in the designated trade, on completion of the training period, will the National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) be issued by the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE).

How to Apply for ECIL ITI Trade Apprentice Recruitment 2026

ECIL ITI Trade Apprentice Apply Online process involves two mandatory steps — registration on the MSDE Apprenticeship portal, followed by submission of the application on the ECIL website.

1. Step 1: Interested candidates who possess the required educational qualification must first register themselves on the website www.apprenticeshipindia.gov.in of the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE).
2. Step 2: After registering on the MSDE portal, eligible candidates must submit the online application through the ECIL website: https://www.ecil.co.in → 'Human Resources' → 'Current Job Openings'.
3. Applications submitted only through the ECIL website shall be accepted and considered; MSDE portal registration alone is not sufficient.
4. The online application process will be operational from 30.09.2026 (18:00 hrs) to 11.10.2026 (23:59 hrs).
5. After applying online, take a printout of the registered online application form with the system-generated application number, and note down the application number for all future references.
6. A re-print of the registered online application form can be taken before the last date for online registration.
7. Quote the system-generated application number for all future correspondence with ECIL; all correspondence will be communicated only through the email furnished in the online application form.

ECIL ITI Trade Apprentice Recruitment 2026 – Important Instructions

• Before applying, candidates should read the complete advertisement carefully and ensure they fulfil the eligibility criteria in all respects.
• Only online registered application forms will be accepted.
• The application is liable for rejection at any stage of the recruitment process in case of suppression of facts or furnishing of false information; even after commencement of apprenticeship, such shortcomings will render the apprenticeship liable for termination forthwith.
• No separate communication will be sent to any candidate on their non-selection at any stage of the engagement process.
• ECIL reserves the right to cancel/restrict/enlarge/modify the selection process, if need arises, without assigning any reason, and to increase or decrease the notified vacancies/seats based on need.
• Any legal proceeding in respect of any matter/claim or dispute arising out of this advertisement can be instituted only in the jurisdiction limited to Courts at Medchal–Malkajgiri District, Telangana State.
• ECIL will not be responsible for network/internet-related difficulties or issues.
• Canvassing in any form will result in immediate rejection of the application.
• Selected candidates will not be allowed to withdraw from training except for reasons beyond their control. Before commencement of training, candidates must execute a Contract of Apprenticeship. Those who fail to complete the training are liable to refund the whole cost of their training, as well as the stipend received, as determined by the Central Apprenticeship Advisor.
• The engagement and training are strictly in compliance with the Apprenticeship Act 1961, and there is no obligation for employment of Apprentices on completion of training; apprentices shall have no right to claim any employment in ECIL after completion of training.
• ECIL being a highly protected establishment, apprentices will be engaged only after submission of a Police Verification Certificate (PVC) from the SP office of their District HQ, to be submitted at the time of joining.
• A physical fitness certificate from a Civil/Assistant Surgeon should be produced by the selected candidate at the time of joining.
• Candidates should be cautious of unscrupulous elements offering to procure an apprenticeship in ECIL through illegal gratification; selection will be done only on the basis of merit and in a transparent manner.
