CSIR CGCRI Project Assistant II Recruitment 2026 – Apply Online

CSIR-Central Glass & Ceramic Research Institute (CSIR CGCRI) has released a recruitment notification for 1 project-based vacancy of Project Assistant - II. Candidates applying for the post must possess a B.Sc.(Physics) or 3 years Diploma in Engineering / Technology in Electronics or Mechanical or Electrical with minimum 60% marks/GPA. The remuneration is Rs. 20,000 + HRA, with the engagement tenure initially set for 1 year and extendable up to 29 January 2028. Who Can Apply

Essential Qualification: B.Sc.(Physics) or 3 years Diploma in Engineering / Technology in Electronics or Mechanical or Electrical with minimum 60% marks/GPA.

Desirable Qualifications: Experience in electronics or machine handling, glass handling, electrical. Proficient in basic computer skills, CAD software. Lab skills in optics/fiber optics/optomechanics.

Age Limit and Relaxation: The upper age limit is 35 years. The upper age limit is relaxable by up to 5 years in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST/Physically Handicapped and Female, whereas 3 years in case of OBCs (Non-Creamy layer candidates).

Pay and Tenure

Selected candidates will receive a stipend of Rs. 20,000/- per month plus HRA, with an increment of 15% for every 3 years of experience in the same project. The initial tenure is for 1 year and is extendable up to 29 January 2028 subject to fund availability.

Eligible candidates will be called for a Walk-in-Interview to be held on 03/11/2026 from 2.30 p.m. at CSIR-CGCRI, Kolkata. Candidates must report at least one hour before the scheduled time for document verification. No candidate will be allowed to enter the institute after reporting time.
