Who Can Apply
Applicants must meet the following educational and experience criteria:
- Educational Qualification: Pass in X Standard, and a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering or equivalent in Indian Navy from a recognized University/Institute/Examination Board. Equivalency certificate is required for equivalent qualifications.
- Experience: Essential: Minimum 15 years of post-qualification experience in operation, maintenance, and watchkeeping of marine equipment and systems on Indian Naval Surface Ships / Submarines as an Ex-Indian Navy personnel.
- Desirable: Knowledge of propulsion systems fitted on Naval Surface Ships / Submarines, equipment, administrative procedures of the Indian Navy, Marine Main Engines, Gearboxes, Auxiliary machineries (Air Conditioning, Refrigeration, HVAC, Sewage Treatment, Oily Water Separator, PGD systems, weapon equipment, sensors, deck machineries), and proficiency in computer-based data management & record keeping.
- Restriction: Only Ex-Indian Navy Personnel shall apply. The post is not identified as suitable for PwBDs.
Pay and Tenure
The consolidated monthly pay is Rs. 1,00,000/- for the first year, Rs. 1,03,000/- for the second year, and Rs. 1,06,090/- for the third year. The contract tenure is for a period of three years and is extendable for a further period of two years subject to organizational requirements and individual performance.
