AIIMS Raebareli Senior Resident Qualification

For the post of Senior Resident (Non-Academic), candidates must fulfil the following essential qualifications:

• A medical qualification included in the first or second schedule, or Part II of the third schedule, of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (candidates with Part II third-schedule qualifications must also satisfy the conditions in Section 13(3) of the Act).
• Registration with the Central or State Medical Council.
• For Broad Speciality posts: MD/MS/DNB in the concerned speciality, or an equivalent qualification.
• For Super Speciality posts: MD/MS/DNB in the related broad speciality, along with DM/M.Ch/DNB in the concerned super speciality.

The age limit for the post of Senior Resident is 45 years, relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST candidates and 3 years for OBC candidates.

AIIMS Raebareli Senior Resident Salary / Pay Scale 2026

Selected Senior Residents will be placed in Pay Matrix Level-11, with a minimum basic pay of Rs. 67,700/-, plus Non-Practicing Allowance (NPA) admissible to medical personnel, as per the recommendations of the 7th Central Pay Commission.

As per the terms and conditions of the notification, appointees on this ad-hoc basis are not entitled to benefits such as Provident Fund, Pension, Gratuity, Medical Attendance Treatment, or Seniority/Promotion available to regular Government servants.

This recruitment does not use an online application portal. Interested and eligible candidates must appear in person as a walk-in candidate, following these steps:

1. Download and fill the prescribed bio-data/application proforma (Annexure A) from the official website, www.aiimsrbl.edu.in.
2. Attach self-attested copies of all relevant certificates and testimonials supporting qualification, experience, date of birth, and category, along with a self-attested latest photograph.
3. If currently employed in a Government/Semi-Government/Corporate body or undertaking of the Central or State Government, obtain a "No Objection Certificate" from the present employer - without this, candidates may not be permitted to appear for the interview.
4. Report at AIIMS, Raebareli by 10:00 AM on the interview date.
5. Attend document verification and screening of applications between 10:00 AM and 12:00 PM.
6. Appear for the interview from 03:00 PM onwards, carrying all original certificates/testimonials for verification.

Important Terms and Conditions

• The appointment is purely ad-hoc, initially for six months from the date of joining, and may be extended at the discretion of the Executive Director, AIIMS Raebareli, or may lapse automatically without assigning any reason.
• The appointment can be terminated at any time, on either side, without notice.
• Appointees must work as whole-time employees of the Institute and cannot accept any other paid or unpaid assignment, nor engage in private practice during the tenure.
• Appointment is subject to a medical fitness certificate from the Institute's designated Medical Board.
• On appointment, candidates must take an oath of allegiance to the Constitution of India.
• Selection for this ad-hoc post confers no claim or right to a regular post at AIIMS Raebareli, and this cadre will not merge with the Institute's regular cadre.
• The Director, AIIMS Raebareli, reserves the right to cancel the advertisement at any time, or to fill more or fewer posts than advertised, without assigning any reason.
