AIIMS Bhopal is accepting online applications for Senior Resident (Non-Academic) posts until 15 November 2026. Doctors with an MD, MS, DNB or MDS in the respective discipline and valid council registration can apply if they are within the upper age limit of 45 years. Age limit

The upper age limit is 45 years as on the date of interview.

Essential qualifications

• A Postgraduate Medical Degree viz. MD/MS/DNB/MDS in respective disciplines, recognized by NMC/DCI/NDC or an Institute of National Importance.
• Valid registration with NMC, a State Medical Council or the Dental Council of India (DCI).
• Super specialty departments: candidates with a relevant MD/MS/DNB qualification may also apply.
• Trauma and Emergency Medicine: Post Graduate medical degree like MD/MS/DNB in Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Surgery, Orthopaedics, Paediatrics or Anesthesiology from a recognized University/Institute.
• Medical Oncology/Haematology: Post Graduate medical degree like MD/DNB in Medicine, Paediatrics, Radiotherapy or Pathology from a recognized University/Institute. Candidates with DM/DNB Medical Oncology/Hematology can also apply.

Eligibility is considered as on the date of interview. Candidates must be declared passed in the qualifying degree exam, and must complete the tenure of that degree, on or before that date.

Application Fee

The fee is paid by Demand Draft only, drawn in favour of "EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, AIIMS, Bhopal". It will not be refunded in any circumstance.

Selection Process

• The written test/interview will be conducted at AIIMS Bhopal-462020 (MP). Its date, time and venue details will be uploaded on the Institute website.
• The interview schedule will be published for the departments that have received applications up to 15 November 2026.
• Candidates with the same interview marks are ranked by date of birth, with the older candidate placed above the younger one.
• Selected candidates undergo a medical examination. If a candidate is not found fit by the authorized medical authorities, the offer of appointment is treated as withdrawn.

Service Conditions

• The appointment is initially for one year and is extendable up to three years.
• Total Senior Residency cannot go beyond 3 years in any circumstances, including residency already rendered by the applicant.
• Candidates with earlier Senior Resident service in a Government, Public Sector Undertaking or Autonomous Body institute or hospital are considered only for the balance period.
• For Sl. No. 27 to 40 of the Annexure IV vacancy list, appointment is for a maximum of 6 months, which may be further extended to a maximum of 6 months.
• Joining is purely temporary and on a need basis.
• Appointed candidates may have to work in shifts and can be posted at any place in the Institute.
• Private practice of any type is prohibited on or after appointment.
• Appointed candidates are expected to follow the rules of conduct and discipline applicable to Institute employees.

Other Conditions

• Applications are invited from Indian Nationals.
• Candidates should not have been convicted by any Court of Law.
• Inadequately filled or incomplete applications may be summarily rejected.
• Canvassing of any kind will lead to disqualification.
• No TA/DA will be paid for appearing in the selection process.
• False information or wilful suppression of material information makes a candidate liable to removal from service.
• AIIMS Bhopal reserves the right to vary the posts, cancel the advertisement or fill fewer posts than advertised, depending on institutional requirement.
• Disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of Court(s) at Jabalpur/Bhopal (M.P.) only.

2. Fill the online application on the AIIMS Bhopal website by 15 November 2026.
3. Keep a copy of the filled form and bring its print-out when reporting for interview.
4. If you are in service, send your application through proper channel and obtain a No Objection Certificate from your employer.
5. Prepare the Demand Draft, if the fee applies to you, and watch the website for your department's interview schedule.

Candidates who do not produce these original documents at the interview will not be allowed into the selection process.

Category certificates

• SC/ST: category certificate in the Annexure-I format.
• OBC: certificate from the competent authority in the Annexure-II format, along with a non-creamy layer certificate for the financial year 2026-2027.
• EWS: certificate from the competent authority in the Annexure-III form, valid for the financial year 2026-2027.
• OBC non-creamy layer and EWS certificates issued from 1 April 2026 to the date of interview are considered valid.
• PwBD: certificate issued by a duly constituted and authorized Medical Board of a State or Central Government hospital or institution, countersigned by the Medical Superintendent, CMO or Head of the Hospital or Institution.
